ABOUT
Ivy Chow Movement Project (I.C. Movement Project) is a contemporary ballet company motivated to tell truths through the use of professional dancers, designers and artists. Led by Artistic Director and choreographer, Ivy Chow to join the ranks of female choreographic voices. Designed to be project based in the ever transient city of Washington, D.C. As an advocate for the voice of women in the arts, I.C. Movement Project takes advantage of being in the nation’s capital to transcend ideas into action.
The mission is to share and educate audiences on the empowering expression of dance that will enrich diverse audiences in the greater Washington, DC area.

We are currently living in a world where there is much division and discord, this performance was created to spark joy within the audience. This show is a vehicle demonstrating how mixed cultures can coexist to create something beautiful. The passions of each artist - dancers and musicians will translate into an evening of hope, compromise, unity and love. An evening to celebrate the fusion of classical and contemporary dance and music. Music from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to emerging composer Winnie Lan-In Yang.

Featuring four Taiwanese artists: pianist - Tzu-yi Chen, choreographer - Ivy Chow, violist - Andy Lin and pianist/composer - Lan-In Winnie Yang. As well as DC's professionals: cellist - Molly Jones, previous ICMP dance members - Therese Gahl, Colleen Kerwin, Kyoko Ruch, and new diverse cast members of ICMP. Read their bios in Artist section.
